John Knox Porter is the CEO of Capital Development Partners, an industrial real estate, infrastructure, and power grid developer focused on the U.S. port and gateway markets in the United States.

Porter founded Capital Development Partners in 2017 and is currently developing over $1 billion of projects with a $1 billion pipeline. He has a deep understanding of market fundamentals, trends, institutional capital, and the execution of complex projects.

Porter’s experience includes 25 years as an Executive Vice President with Fortune 500 giant CBRE, Inc. While at CBRE, he was consistently the top global, national, and local producer in the industrial sector. He founded both the logistics and infrastructure practice groups for that company, setting the standard for the industry. Porter and team executed projects in most of the major markets within the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Porter is from Atlanta and graduated with a degree in Management from Georgia Tech where he was a student athlete, and holds an MBA from the University of Southern California. He and family have homes in the United States and Spain, and have a passion for sports, travel, and entertaining.
